Maull House

Built by Samuel Paynter and sold for 90 pounds in 1741 to Luke

Shields, Sr. Shields married John Maull's widow; and

Maull's four son's, three of whom became prominent Delaware

River pilots, were raised here. Restoration began in 1968. The

house has excellent examples of early woodwork throughout. Open
