Built in 1634, this was the home of Rudyard Kipling from 1902-1936, and where he wrote the book 'Pook of Pook's Hill.' Visitors can see rooms as they were in Kipling's day; the property features a garden with pond, roses and herbs. An authentic watermill grinds corn on most Saturdays. Open Saturday-Wednesday, end of March to beginning of November; garden only open Sat-Sun during the month of March. Gift shop, restaurant on site; parking available.
