Belvoir Castle

Built in the 11th century, the first Belvoir Castle was home to the Duke of Rutland, William the Conquerors standard bearer. The Castle features outstanding views of the surrounding countryside, and houses a large collection of period furniture, porcelain, as well as a collection of paintings by famous masters. Extensive grounds include Spring Gardens that date from the 1800s, which have been recently restored by the Duchess of Rutland; now open for pre-arranged groups.
