Since 1986 Lord and Lady Feversham have undertaken extensive restoration of the Duncombe Park buildings and interiors, to create a home here again in this historic 200-room manor house for their family, direct descendants of Thomas Duncombe. The family pictures and Lord Feversham's collection of English and Continental furniture are on display and the principal rooms are a fine example of the type of 'grand interior' popular at the turn of the century. The early 18th-century 35 acre green gardens have been described as 'the supreme masterpiece of the art of the landscape gardener.' Peace and tranquillity reign in this classical English style of gardening which highlights the natural landscape. House and gardens open Sun-Thurs, April to October; Sun-Fri, May to September. Tours given on the hour. Tel: 01439 770213/771115 Fax: 01439 771114
