Harrogate's history as England's only truly European spa is the subject of exhibits in the Royal Pump Room Museum. Visitors from around the world came to Harrogate for the benefits of these famous sulphur wells, as well as to vacation in the surrounding Yorkshire Dales and see the local sights, including Knaresborough Castle. Today, visitors can still imbibe the strongest sulphur water in Europe. A schedule of changing exhibitions highlights items from the museum's collections; on-site gift shop.
