The Wash is an estuary on the east coast of England, between
Lincolnshire and
Norfolk. It receives the Witham, Welland, Nen, and the
Ouse. There are many sandbanks that are dry at low water. The shores are low and at times inundated. It has a length of 22 miles and a breadth of 22.
