Within the ancient walls of the City of York, beer is being brewed commercially for the first time in 40 years. The brewery brewed its first beer in 1996, and now produce a selection of top class products that have resurrected a traditional York industry. York brewery was designed not only as a workplace but also as a tourist attraction. Tour the brewery and see how they brew their beers. Although the general public are not allowed into the brewing areas which are kept sterile, there are specially designed viewing galleries from which the whole brewing process can be seen.
