Bahia Honda State Park

Search Big Pine Key Florida

The park has extensive beaches with deep waters off shore for snorkeling. This is a full-service park with campground facilities, cabins, boat launching and picnic areas. Beachgoers can enjoy the nature trails leading off from the beach. The park has three beaches: Loggerhead, Calusa and Sandspur. Sandspur is about 1 mile, Calusa is about 100 yards and Loggerhead is about 1/4 of a mile.

Calusa and Sanspur are more tourist friendly as they both have more amenities such as concession stands that serve hot and cold food and restrooms.

Loggerhead doesn't have picnic tables or shelters and there is no marked off swimming area like there are at the other two.

The beach is great for swimming, but if you get bored with that, you can also rent bikes or kayaks.
