Delray Beach is located in
Palm Beach County north of
Miami between
West Palm Beach and
Fort Lauderdale along Highway A1A near the Atlantic seacoast. Delray Beach is part of the
West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, Florida metro area.
Located in the southern end of Palm Beach County, Delray Beach was settled as an agricultural community in 1895. First incorporated in 1911, it became the City of Delray Beach on May 11, 1927. The City has experienced substantial growth over the past few years.
