Fort Myers Beach is located in
Lee County southwest of
Fort Myers between Fort Myers and
Naples along Highway 865 near Estero Bay and the
Gulf of Mexico. Fort Myers Beach is part of the
Fort Myers-Cape Coral, Florida metro area.
Estero Island and its sister island, San Carlos, make up the community of Fort Myers Beach. It is a small Island, seven miles long and in no place as much as a mile wide. The area embelishes an Old Florida village atmosphere, with its quaint cottages, scattered beach houses and bay front estates, while giving way to luxury high-rise condominiums.
