Located in the Metro-Dade Cultural Center. The museum uses artifacts, dioramas, audio-visual displays, photographs, and other media to illustrate the past 10,000 years of the region's history and development. Highlights include a replica of a pioneer house and a 1920s trolley car. Open Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm (also Thursday 5-9pm); Sunday, noon-5pm. Closed New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
