Lighthouse Point is located in
Broward County off of US Hwy 1 just south of
Boca Raton between
Deerfield Beach and
Hillsboro Beach along the Atlantic Coastline (part of the
Fort Lauderdale, Florida metropolitan area).
The character of Lighthouse Point is that of quiet, tree-shaded, canal-laced neighborhoods, with 20 acres of parks, 13 miles of sidewalks/bike paths and 18 miles of waterways.
In an area of mangrove swamps and fertile farmland, Miss Juliette Becker built Lighthouse Point's first home in 1947, and in June of 1957, received its state charter and officially became a city.
Lighthouse Point has many parks to enjoy such as: Al Fletcher Park, Dan Witt Park and the Exchange Club Park.
