The original 10-room West Indian-style Naval Commandant's Headquarters which served as former President Harry S Truman's residence during 11 working vacations from 1946-1952. Florida's only Presidential residence and listed on the National Historical Register, the house has been restored to its 1948 appearance; the museum features permanent Truman exhibits with videos, temporary Presidential exhibits, a museum store, and an annual 'Truman Poker Party' which celebrates his May 8 birthday. Open daily; 30-minute guided tours and a self-guided botanical tour available.
