Winter Haven Hospital

Winter Haven Hospital was Established in 1926. Winter Haven Hospital serves as the major medical center for eastern Polk County (Population 460,000). The Winter Haven Hospital Healthcare System is a comprehensive, not-for-profit, health service organization that provides care through its regional healthcare delivery system. Winter Haven Hospital is a division of Mid-Florida Medical Services, a locally owned and operated not-for-profit corporation which is governed by an independent board of trustees made up of local business and civic leaders. Winter Haven Hospital has 711 licensed hospital beds and its hospital based services include; three - 12 bed Intensive Care Units for medical, surgical and coronary care as well as a 24 bed Progressive Care Unit. Winter Haven Hospital is a state designated acute spinal cord injury center and has earned state and national recognition for its centers of excellence in orthopedic surgery, neurology and neurosurgery.
