Mulberry is located in
Polk County just east of
Tampa between Tampa and
Lake Wales along Highway 60 near Lake Hancock and
Winter Haven (part of the
Lakeland-Winter Haven, Florida metro area).
There is also a Mulberry, Tennessee.
Historicaly known as the center of phosphate production in central Florida, Mulberry was founded in 1901, and expanded with the industry, embarking on one of the world's richest deposits of the important mineral, used in fertilizers and a host of other products.
