Search Panama City Beach Florida

The Museum of Man-in-the-Sea has earned an international reputation as a resource for inner-space information, and contains one of the most comprehensive collections of historic underwater equipment found anywhere. Artifacts from England, Sweden, Russia, China, Japan, Italy, France, Germany, USA, and Canada form the basic collection of marine history. A large array of scuba gear, submersibles, and commercial diving equipment represents many 'firsts' in underwater technology, and many are one-of-a-kind originals in the history of ocean exploration. The museum's educational programs include a saltwater touch pool and hands-on computer program that give visitors an opportunity to experience life in the pristine St. Andrew Bay estuary; special changing exhibits are also presented. Open daily, closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. The museum is located under the Navy habitat, 1/4 mile west of State Road 79.
