Niceville is located in
Okaloosa County east of
Pensacola between
Crestview and
Fort Walton Beach along Highway 285 near the Neglin Air Force Base, Chocktawhatchee Bay and the
Gulf of Mexico. Niceville is part of the
Fort Walton Beach, Florida metro area.

Niceville was incorporated as a city on July 7, 1938.
