Dedicated to the rehabilitation of sick and injured birds, the sanctuary also serves as an education center. Birds that are injured too severely to be released in the wild remain in an aviary at the sanctuary. A boardwalk winds through the aviary, which contains a variety of birds including pelicans, cormorants, and sandhill cranes. Hawks, kestrels, ospreys and owls can be viewed in the raptor center. Open daily, 10am-5pm; closed major holidays.
