The museum, founded by A. Reynolds and Eleanor Morse, contains their outstanding 45-year collection of works by Spanish surrealist Salvador Dali. The permanent home of the most comprehensive collection of the artist's work in the world today, its 95 oils include excellent examples of Dali's four major periods, in addition to more than 100 watercolors and drawings, 1,300 graphics and pieces sculpture, photography, and more. An extensive archival library is available. Periodic rotations of the collection and special exhibitions allow viewing of new work on repeat visits. Rotating special exhibits by other artists are also offered. Guided tours are available; call for museum hours. The museum is open daily, closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
