Starke is located in
Bradford County (of which it is the county seat) northeast of
Gainesville between
Gainesville and
Jacksonville along US Highway 301 near Kingsley Lake and Lowry Lake. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 5,556, an increase of 330 since 1990.
