Theater of the Sea offers a unique 17-acre, lush tropical garden setting in which visitors meet a variety of marine life, many of which are non-releasable due to injuries or human imprinting. A natural saltwater lagoon is home to Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, California sea lions, sea turtles, tropical and game fish, sharks, stingrays, a crocodile, alligators, marine invertebrates, and non-releasable birds of prey. General admission includes dolphin and sea lion shows, a guided tour of marine life exhibits, and a bottomless boat ride. A continuous schedule of shows integrate conservation issues, natural history, anatomy, physiology and husbandry into an entertaining and educational format. Guest participation is encouraged, and a variety of fully interactive programs are also offered. Open daily; group tours must be arranged in advance.
