Wolfsonian Museum - FIU

Located on the campus of Florida International University, the Wolfsonian collection contains artifacts from the modern era (1885-1945) comprising a variety of media that include furniture, industrial-design objects, books and periodicals, paintings and textiles, and more. The majority of items originate from the US, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Russia/Soviet Union. Objects are interpreted in regard to issues in design history, and how art and design shape and reflect the human experience. The Wolfsonian-FIU offers a wide range of educational programs for all ages that include collection- and exhibition-related events such as lectures, films, and workshops, as well as tours for schools and adult groups, and family day programs. Closed Wednesdays and major holidays.
