Located near the mouth of the Somme River, 45 km NW of Amiens, the picturesque town of Abbeville was nearly destroyed during WWII. Today, the main attraction for visitors is the 15th-century Flamboyant Gothic church of St-Vulfran, featuring two soaring towers and elegantly carved 16th-century doors.
