Cathedrale Notre-Dame d'Amiens

Added to UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1981, Amiens cathedral is one of the largest "classic" Gothic churches in France. Built to house the head of St. John the Baptist, brought back from the Crusades in 1206 and still on display in the Treasury, the cathedral contains some excellent examples of 16th-century stonework, including intricately carved statues and tracery.
