Cathedrale St-Maurice

Search Angers

Constructed mainly during the 12th and 13th centuries (the main tower is from the 16th century), the cathedral is famous for its Romanesque facade and its stained-glass windows. It once displayed the entire series of the Apocalypse Tapestries; however, only a few remain today. The majority are on display in the nearby chateau.
