Search Cambrai

The Archeosite, located 12 km south of Cambrai, features archeological findings from the 2nd to the 7th century A.D., including reconstructions of Merovingian and Carolingian settlements. Archaeologists have reconstructed the work and surroundings of potters, weavers, thatchers and other early craftsmen from evidence found on site in their excavations. Displays and regular demonstrations help bring the history to life. The site covers 10 centuries of history, from the Gallo-Roman period to the beginning of the Middle Ages. Closed Mondays.
