The Old Town is clustered around the Le Suquet district, located on the slopes of Mont Chevalier. Points of interest include the 16th- to 17th-century Notre-Dame de lEsperance, built in the Provencal Gothic style, and the famed boulevard de la Croisette, lined with luxury hotels and private beaches. Also of interest is a visit to the nearby Iles de Lerins, which includes the fort on Ile Ste-Marguerite, where the "Man in the Iron Mask" was imprisoned in the late 17th century.
