Located on the river quay, just downstream from Pont St-Laurent, the Musee Niepce is considered the most important photography museum in Europe. Niepce, born in Chalon, is credited with inventing photography in 1816, and the museum features an impressive range of cameras, plus a library of works on photography and temporary exhibitions.
