Champagne

Located east of Paris, Champagne is known for the bubbly wine it produces, discovered by accident by Dom Perignon. In addition to the seemingly endless vineyards that stretch across the region's beautiful countryside, Champagne is home to the spectacular cathedral at Reims, as well as numerous medieval churches, castles and historic fortifications. Travelers can also enjoy a boat trip along the 650 kms of waterways and lakes that traverse the region.
