Dijon France

Located 194 miles SE of Paris and 199 miles NE of Lyon at the confluence of the Ouche and Suzon rivers, Dijon lies at the foot of the Cte d'Or hills. While at first glance it may appear to be a thoroughly modern city, Dijons medieval center is noted for its architectural splendor. The pedestrianized rue de la Liberte forms the major east-west axis if the town, running from place Darcy and the 18th-century triumphal arch of Porte Guillaume east to the church of St-Michel. The city is easily accessible from Paris (1 hours) via its TGV train link.
