Located 70 kms from Rennes, the resort town of Dinard lies along the Rance River just across from St-Malo. While the town s main beach, plage de l'Ecluse, can be crowded during the summer months, the atmosphere remains low key. Victorian villas, parks and gardens dot the landscape, and the municipal casino, located on boulevard du President-Wilson, is open year round. Dinard can be reached from St-Malo by auto, bus or, in the summer months, by ferry; there is no direct access to the town via train.
