Pasteurs House of Birth

Louis Pasteur was born in Dole December 27, 1822, in the old tanners district. The house of the famous scientist has now become a museum. The familys furniture and two pastel paintings showing the talent of the young Pasteur are on display. Also on display are laboratory implements, pictures and museum texts which chart Pasteurs career, plus information on the actions of the 22 Pasteur Institutes, an international network on 5 continents which further the scientists works.
