Gordes France

Located 35 km east of Avignon, the picturesque village of Gordes is perched on the southern edge of the Plateau de Vaucluse. Dominated by its 16th-century chateau, Gordes is a popular travel destination for Parisian celebrities and artists and can be crowded with tourists during the summer months. Nearby the Village des Bories, an unusual collection of stone beehive-type structures, is an interesting stop.
