Grasse France

Located on a slope of the lower Alps, 16 km inland from Cannes, the winter resort town of Grasse has been a center of the French perfume industry since the 16th century. The Musee Internationale de la Parfumerie, at 8 place du Cours, is an interesting stop for visitors wishing to learn more about the history of the industry. Grasse is also known as the official starting point of the Route Napoleon, built to commemorate Napoleons journey north through Haute Provence on his return from exile on the island of Elba.
