Le Quesnoy France

The gateway to the Avesnois Regional Nature Park, Le Quesnoy is located near the largest forest estate in the region -- the 10,000 hectares of the Mormal Forest. The area is ideal for walking, cycling and riding. Le Quesnoy has managed to retain its town walls, fortified in the 17th century by Vauban and his successors. Fifteen kilometers of marked walking trails give the public access to a succession of lakes and ponds plus views over the town walls dotted with many varieties of trees and shrubs.
