The Le Corbusier viaduct, overlooking the Place de l Europe, is an ideal location to observe the new roadways and other achievements located between the Lille-Europe and Lille-Flanders railway stations in Lille's high-tech business district known as Euralille. On the left, the Lille-Europe Station opens towards the town center through a 15-meter-high glass facade. Its roof, undulating like a wave, is surmounted by two towers. The adjoining metro station is the meeting point for various forms of transport: VAL metro, TGV, car parks and direct road access. Slightly to the right is the Euralille Centre, including over 130 shops, 7 medium-sized outlets, one hypermarket and several restaurants spread over two levels. On the other side of the viaduct is the Matisse Park: 8 hectares which joins the fortifications of Roubaix, which borders the old city.
