Situated at the confluence of the Vezouze and Meurthe rivers, 20 minutes east of Nancy by train, Luneville, the former residence of Stanislas Lesczczynski, Duke of Lorraine and father-in-law to Louis XV, is known as the Versailles of Lorraine. The town is also noted for its faience ware, examples of which are on display in a museum located within the 18th-century chateau.
