The museums collection, the bulk of which was received by the state in 1975 after the artist's death, is exhibited in a 17th-century mansion. The museum currently houses around 200 paintings, sculptures and collages, which reflect the full range of Picassos artistic development. In addition to Picassos creations, the artist's own acquisitions of works by Braque, Rousseau, Miro and Renoir are on display.
