Once a center for the arts and literature beckoning talents such as Picasso, Hemingway and Matisse, this area was named for Mount Parnassus, the mountain dedicated to the Greek god of poetry and music. The skyline is dominated by the Tour Montparnasse, Paris tallest office tower.
