Niort France

Located 151 km north of Bordeaux and 52 km NE of La Rochelle, Niort lies on the slopes of the hills on the left bank of the Sevre Niortaise River. The town is dominated by the 12th-century keep of the castle built by Henry II and Richard the Lionheart which now houses a museum focusing on local arts and crafts.
