Nord Pas de Calais

The northernmost region of France, extending SE from the English Channel and sharing a border with Belgium in the NE, Nord Pas de Calais is a region of contrasting landscapes, from forests and rolling hills to marshlands and coastline. Variety can also be found in the architecture and culture of the region, including the metropolitan city of Lille, the region's capital, and the many well-preserved churches, museums and homes of the surrounding villages and towns.
