Located at the north end of the Route de Vin, 20 miles S of Strasbourg, Obernai's half-timber houses and colorful marketplace (place du Marche) retain the traditional flavor of the region. Points of interest include the Neo-Gothic Eglise St-Pierre-et-St-Paul; the Halle aux Bles, a 16th-century corn hall, and the Kapellturm, a galleried belfry located in the Place de la Chapelle.
