Ile d'Ouessant

Located 30 km NW of Le Conquet at the end of a chain of small islands, most of which are uninhabited, the island of Ouessant and its lighthouse at Creach generally mark the entrance to the English Channel. Also known as Ushant, the island is notorious for its severe storms and strong currents, although it does enjoy a mild climate in summer.
