Rouen

Located 135 km NW of Paris and 89 km E of Le Havre, the regional capital of Rouen is divided by the Seine River. The old city is situated on the right bank of the river, offering visitors a wealth of historic sites including Place du Vieux-Marche, where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake in 1431, and one of France's most striking Gothic cathedrals, Notre-Dame, a favorite subject of Monet.
