Solre-le-Chateau owes its name to the chateau which once adorned the town center. The surrounding landscape is ideal for walking, cycling and riding. Places of interest include the 15th-century church of Solre-le-Chateau with its onion-shaped dome and the 16th-century Renaissance-style Town Hall.
