Tournus France

Situated 27 km S of Chalon and 30 km N of Macon on the banks of the Saone River (just off the N6 autoroute), the small town of Tournus has a distinctly southern air about it, feeling more like a Mediterranean town. The main attraction for visitors is the Abbaye de St-Philibert, one of Burgundy s earliest Romanesque buildings.
