Located 16 km south of Brive, the picturesque town of Turenne was the last independent feudal fiefdom in France. The town offers visitors a spectacular view of the nearby Cantal Mountians from the 11th-century Tour de Cesar which, combined with the 13th-century Clock Tower, is all that remains of the Chateau du Turenne.
