Situated between Lille and Roubaix, at the crossroads of the main motorways towards Paris, Ghent, Antwerp and Brussels, Villeneuve is 1 hour from Paris and two hours from London via the high-speed TGV and 15 minutes from the Lille Europe station by metro. Villeneuve d Ascq, a new town of 70,000 inhabitants, is the result of the amalgamation of three communes: Ascq, Annapes and Flers.
