The Lucy Craft Laney Museum is the only African American Museum in the Central Savannah River Area. It is located in the historic Laney-Walker District, near the Haines Normal Institute, now called the Lucy Craft Laney High School. The mission of the museum is to promote the legacy of Ms. Lucy Craft Laney, a great Georgia educator, through art and history. The facility includes a conference center, computer center and period garden. Humanitarian services include art and history exhibits, lectures and tours, computer art and history program, Youth Leadership Academy and senior citizen programs.
