East Point is located in
Fulton County on the southern city limits of
Atlanta along Highway 166 on the banks of the Chattahoochee River in
Metro Atlanta Region of the state. East Point is part of the
Atlanta, Georgia metro area.
It was named after the eastern terminus of the Atlanta & West Point Railroad.
